Three coats of stripper, have a question

We applied three coats / steps of aircraft stripper today and removed it with what I am calling selectively great results. It turned the bottom panels highly refective and just the stripper made the trailer look totally different. the seam where the bottom panels meet the top panels is where the results stop. It is almost as if the stripper was not even applied to the top panel-- just as hazy as before we applied it.

Is this normal? We put it on very thick and let is sit-- nothing to the top panel. Is this something that will be resolved with the buffing and polishing?

I used airplane stripper today also. I am doing the metal cabinet in my 1960. We had three coats of paint to remove from this 50 year old trailer. I had mixed results but decided the heck with polishing. I but a very soft wire brush on the end of my drill and removed two of the coats. I will get the last coat next weekend. Even with the drill with a wire brush I did not get it all off. Good luck with your project. Polished panels will look great.

Most likely there was nothing there to strip. Should polish to match the lower when all done.

The stripper has nothing to do with how shiney and polished the aluminum will appear....it just removes the paint coating. Today was not a great day to do the stripping here in Texas. It works best in a warm temp. The polish comes from the elbow grease which follows.

Well I guess it wasn't warm up in N Texas Melody. It was 84 here today
