Many moons ago Jim Weston did Airstream polishing out of his shop near Tulsa, OK. He was one of the early participants in the original Airstream mailing list, back in the late 90s. His shop used to be called Airmark tools or something like that.

Check out North Dallas RV, ask for Pat or Randy.
Good luck with your project.

Just drove by the place in Johnson City, yesterday. I have heard great things about "Scorpiontimo". He had some awesome trailers outside. His place is right on Hwy. 281.

Melody Ranch knows a guy that travels around and is an amazing polisher. Utmost quality and professionalism in his work. He also has done work for North Dallas in the past.

oilcan, my a/s was polished wrong by the guy that advertises craiglist named jason. he did a poor job and even worse communication skills. he just stopped working on it and droped all communication with me. carried down to the other one extreme detail he kept it a few days i called him said he needed more time cause the other guy did such poor work. he never called me. after 2 weeks i called him . he seemed mad. he hung up on me. i called him back . i appologized. i don't know why. he said i needed to get my airstream . i got it went to pull out of his shop,he did not have his door hi enough. hit my a/c unit. then tells me it's my fault because i hooked on to it! i advised him he should buy a pair of big boy britches and put those on. well i wasn't impressed with his shoddy business skills . his trailers won't blind. i was irritated to say the least we exchanged heated insults and i left. bottom line he did nothing to my trailer ,kept it 2 weeks and threw a tantrum . i really don't have the time and fortitude to deal with people like this. johnson city is not far. it's a nice drive. i don't know those folks but i know it won't be any worse only better. needless to say i will not use the problem child again. dusty

If you need your trailer finished up...give me a call. I am in Valley View. Anyone else who is interested in the area as well. I have someone who does my Airstreams...you can see his work too. I think his prices are reasonable...they were cheaper than most.....and he will discuss it with you.

Thanks Dusty. I Googled the Saginaw company and they got bad reviews to say the least. All were one-star and no positive reviews at all. Think I will talk to Melody Ranch and see who he has used before. Take care and good luck.

Polishing
Robin (Melody Ranch) is very knowledgeable when it comes to Airstreams and if he suggests someone to polish an Airstream, the work (the end result) be excellent.

FYI I got my airstream polished by Jason from Craigslist- I think his company is swag cycles. Anyway they worked on it a few weeks but didn't finish the job. It's shinier but he left some swirl marks and it probably needs another round. He said he was going to finish up but never did and ignored my phone calls/texts ...enjoying my money in his pocket I'm sure. Don't use them!!!
Wonder what the charge would be to get one more round of polishing done- mine is shiny but not what I paid for

Mine looked better after I stripped it. It looked better yet at about 50 feet, after I polished with an airway wheel and black compound. After I went over it with the cotton wheel and the brown compound, it looked good at about 40 feet. After the soft cloth and Nuvite S with the Cyclo, it looks good up close.
I still have to detail mine, polish the belly wraps, and paint the top . . . but it's looking good. I don't have to be ashamed to pull it down the road.
It took me about one week of part days to finish up with the Cyclo. I think my longest day was 5 hours.

Do all this in the Winter
Like normal ....I wait till mid Summer here in Texas to begin this nonsense...A 25 foot, a 30 foot and an 18 ft Caravel in the last month. One more next week and I am on the road to Cavalry School in Montana.
