Question Tape scum removal?

Last weekend the side window on my 68 GT shattered while in route. I pulled out the all purpose emergency repair kit and duct taped some plastic over the broken window. Last night I pulled the tape off to remove the rest of the glass and frame pieces (new glass, trim etc. are on order) and as expected there is tape scum on the aluminum.

The AS is highly polished without clearcoat - just bare aluminum. Not wanting to disturb the polished finish I am concerned about using bug & tar remover or other solvent. What would be the best aluminum friendly method to remove the tape adhesive left on the finish?

Thanks!

Go Gone is citrus based and safe. De-Solv-It Contractor's Solvent is stronger, but also citrus based (says 100% organic) - works much better. Both sold in hardware stores.

A little charcoal lighter (naptha) works as well. Just put some on a soft cloth and wipe it off.
