If you can, always make the last step in your polishing a coat of wax.

I just cyclo'd mine and put Nufinish on it. The next day some sick bird used my trailer for target practice.

It just wiped off with a damp microfiber towel.

Maybe the owners of polished trailers could put a "target" on the roof?????

Most birds would go for the challenge. LOL

Not funny really, as they can make a mess out of nice things.

All a person can do, if the coach is outside, is make super sure it has plenty of wax on it.

And of course, never never park it under some trees.

It's worse than that, for what ever reason it looks like they (or it) were flying into it feet first, the area is severly scratched. NO trees around , only a few spots on the roof. The affected area is below the tail lights. I guess it is kinda funny when you think about it. Where did they think they were flying to!

Believe it or not, I think they saw another bird to attack in their reflection.

Although not meant to be funny, you may want to consider a scarecrow of some sort.

Deer run into polished Airstreams all the time. Theory has it that they don't like the "nasty" one that they see (themselves).

Perhaps the birds are reacting the same way.

Ah yes, as they say in Brooklyn, "life can be for the birds".

Unfortunatly no, cleaned off some rather nasty bird droppings there.
I have never seen anything hapen like this. We did have a bird once that decided to go through a window once. After about the 5th attmpt it broke its neck....

Looks like maybe a male bird attacking his image, defending his terriorty against himself. LOL .The older Airstreams look sooooooo good polished.It must be a head turner when towing down the highway. Great job.

Bird Poop! Put it in some suspension, put it over your oxidized aluminum, and watch it work! Costs nothing! (Just gotta squeeze those little things.....)

What a son of a budgie is right! Looks cute, but there is a twisted mind beneath all those fancy feathers. And to think, the last you ever thought on the subject of Phoebies were cute girls in high school...

Congrats on a great polish job, sans Phoebie . The big question--where you taking the Tradewind on its first headturning trip?

With all this miserable weather we have been having it does have a plus side. CLOUDS! After the attack of the demented phoebe I had new incentive to get the roof polished. I was not going to do that till fall but....... Quick once over with 3M, then Nuvite F7 then a hand polish with a Teflon based wax. (3 hours)
