started to polish

OK today I lost my mind, and started to polish my 1985 32 ft.
In about 4 hours I did the Whole side under the bleu beld and the front and rear corner
(1) I used the gord polish and aplyed it by hand with 0000 steel whool
(2) A automotive polish to remove overspary on cars with a 2000 rpm angle grinder
(3) A polishing compound for aluminium Again with the angle grinder.
On the coroded parts I used steelwhool 000 and 2nd 0000
I.m not after a real mirror result
I expect to get a decent shine in less than 50 hours

Keep us advised of the progress. I started the polish on my 56 this week too.

Did you ever get the station wagon? I got a 1958 Buick for my new (old) tow vehicle.
Your idea on a late 70's might be a much better idea. ...but, I am having fun. By the way it s PINK.

It does look great; aluminum wool would be a safer bet than steel wool if you could get your hands on some.

Did you have to strip the clear coat first? I started polishing my 65 22' Safari last fall. It has taken far more work than I first planned on. I am about 90 % done with the compounding. Then comes the final mirror polish. I have done a couple of spots with the random cyclo polisher and Nuvite S and the results are incredeble.
