Polishing the Worthington Tanks?

I have ordered 2 x 30lb tanks to replace my silver painted ones.Plan is to polish them up.I have polished my trailer with the Cyclo and Nuvite polishes,so am very familiar with that method.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips or advice for polishing the tanks?Same procedure?Anything different I should know?

I did will find that the top where all the valves & stuff are will had to be done by hand or with a dremmel. Yuck! The tanks were my job...

You can use the same materials and procedures for polishing your tanks that you would use on your trailer. My experience was that the tanks will arrive out of the box with many gouges and blemishes and you will have to address these before beginning to polish. I used a scotch bright pad on an air die grinder to smooth the major scratches and welds prior to beginning to polish. Then, just proceed as you would normally, with a rotary buffer and nuvite and work your way through the grades of polish and finish up with nuvite S and the cyclo.
