Sounds like something is mixed with the water. It took us six hours to remove water/mag choride stains on our lower front quarter panels we picked up during a rain shower on a gravel road.....after we had finished the original polishing.

I'm making progress--slowly but surely (Fridays don't come around fast enough for me!). My new Cyclo from Vintage Trailer Supply just came in, so that's my new motivation to get finished up with the oxidation removal!

I just noticed that I haven't posted any new pics in a while. I only get to work on this on Fridays, but I'm making progress!

Hey RC
Looks great! What are you using to get at the roof?

Thanks, Tim! I stand on a 4' scaffold and REACH over to get the center. I've read that some people sit on the roof, but it just seemed way too unstable to do that.

HEY RC
Just bought a 4 foot scaffold from Menards (yellow with black decking) probably the same as yours but I haven't had a chance to use it yet.

I saw those, and the ones I'm using are similar, just cheaper--they belong to a friend of mine and I'm borrowing them! LOL

Just an update from today (if anyone's keeping up) ;-)

New lens covers and bumper painted.
Wheels painted (couldn't find white wall tires, so I tried to give the effect of it with the white rims--opinions?)
Got the hitch and bottles painted too.
Just have to use the Cyclo for the final pass when I can get to it!

Looks great! I hope to follow you soon with my Bambi II. I see you get to keep your Bambi in the barn with the combine! My DH is more attached to his equipment than to my trailer, so she's banned to the outdoors!! Lucky you!

Great job! I like the white rims too! Can you tell me what products you used? Thanks

THANKS! I used the Nuvite compounds from Vintagetrailersupply and LOTS of elbow grease! LOL.

For the rims and metal parts, just a quick pass of rust-oleum spray paint. At some point, I'll blast the hitch and hopefully find the correct bumper. I'm just trying to get it looking good for camping this summer.

Well, finally got him outside for some pics before our first trip with him polished! Kids are super excited (as am I)!!

I still haven't gotten to the Cyclo--that'll have to wait until school resumes.
