Polishing frustration
As has been discussed often in this forum polishing an Airstream can be a lot of work. I don't think anything can be as frustrating as removing the old round WBCCI decal. I don't know what kind of glue was used but it doesn't come off easy. Removal, solvents, you name it and it's there. I finally had to use sandpaper to finish and then try to get the scratches off. Luckily I didn't have to deal with numbers.
It took us a couple of hours. We ended up using a heat gun and a plastic putty knife. Followed by some remove all to get the clear coat off. It was a real chore. No fun indeed
Our TT gets long white streaks from the decal gunk on it every time we get some rain. I'm hoping that it will run out of the stain material before I get too old to get up on the ladder.
