I have a 1972 31' Landyacht . I'm wanting to clean up the outside with a polish, but I'm not interested in polishing it to a mirror finish. The top of the A.S is a little oxidized and the front has some scratches I'd like to get out.I'm basically wanting the outside to look like new.
Any Suggestions ?
You say that you want to remove the scratches and make it look like new - if thats your goal it will entail a full polish job. Scratches can be sanded out then compounded - once you start compound you will want to do the whole trailer so it doesn't look blotchy.
What you might want to do is start with Nuvite "S" that will clean it up, make it look nice - if you like it you can stop there - you can always go to the more agressive grades later.

I REALLY did get a mess going, and I thought I ruined my Airstream. Thanks to the Great People on this forum,....and their suggestions,...(they really baled me out),..I was able to clean up the mess I had made on my polishing adventure.
I think you'll find many helpful suggestions....I'm buying "Mineral Spirits (and other spirits ha!) by the gallon !!
