Polishing

3/4 through stripping the clear coat from my Bambi. Had I thought about it a little more (not my strong suit) I would have poured the airplane stripper over my head and set myself on fire......far less painful :-)

Keep us posted. It will be interesting to see how a late model turns out. I'm polishing my '99 that had the "old style" clear coat on it. That was very easy to remove with Citristrip. I don't known what they use on the new ones but it sounds like it is tougher than that previous , 90's stuff.

Good to hear the Citristrip worked well for you. I've just about finished up with the working convenience items and upgrades...then its onto the cosmetic, starting with a badly sunburned 1998 exterior. Can't wait to see the polish I put on it.

I tried Citristrip first on my 78. The clear coat laughed. I got serious and used the good stuff and a power washer. Now I started the polishing too. Holly Cow .... I started wearing black nail polish to work so people dont stare at my hands. Yes I use gloves but seems I can't stay clean. Hands and nail look like heck but my arms and sholders are getting tank top ready for summer. Ordered the Cyclo today from VTS. Can't wait to get to that point.
