polish a brushed trailer?

has anyone ever polished a early 90's trailer with the "brushed" finish?

i have heard it can't be done. what do you folks think?

any input at all is welcome!

Polished Airstream

I've been informed that, at least the motorhomes, were made from Alclad aluminum until 1982 1/2. After that they were made from a different grade of aluminum, probably what you are referring to as "brushed". I've been told that the later grade can be polished but requires an additional preparation step called "cutting" to remove the "brushed" finish. The link is to our 1981 Excella motorhome in the polishing shop at Airmark in OK.
