Never wax again??

Has anyone tried these products: www.poliglowproducts.com Wipe on. Let dry. Hope it's not snake oil. If anyone here has tried this stuff and would care to share your results I'd like to hear weather you liked it or didn't and how long it lasted.

Seems alot of their products are for boats but by surfing around their website you'll find products for aluminum as well as fiberglass.

I sent them an email, concerning their products for Airstream's, so when I get their response I'll post here if anyone is interested.

Thanks.

They already answered my email saying they don't have any product that would help me. They said to try a product called Shark Hide. It is recommended for pontoon boats.

Maybe you guys with the fiberglass MH's would like their product.

Anyone tried using Shark Hide?

Hi 2air- Mine is a 1990 345LE, Last year when our local AS dealer changed the side skin and rear corner panel I went ahead and had them paint everything on exterior that came from factory painted. They did a terrific job and I want to try and keep it looking good. I have a bottle of Walbernize to apply but this morning I saw an ad about Poli Glow, wipe on-let dry, and your finished. Sounded alot easier than wax on, wax off so I emailed them asking about using it on my AS and they recommended I use Shark Hide as their product is for fiberglass. Think now I'll stay with the Walbernize, just have to get my butt in gear.

Other than that I do have some slightly oxidized spots that I'd like to clean up, on the unpainted surface, as the products for aluminum that Poli Glow sells you end up with a very shiny finish and my 1990 never was real shiny even when new.

Thanks for your concern and hope I explained what you asked.

good info bill, stick with wally'b...

ANY of the wipe on, let dry stuff is gonna be less than ideal...

how EVEN looking the resins are after drying and what will it look like as they wear/thin/come OFF...

is the issue.

for example the edges or thin areas typically SHOW obviously, and that may start within months.

wallyb may not last long, but it's ideal for the older plasti/k/cote, IF your rig has any left.

my arm always gets tired before finishing so i start on the curb/awning side...

then just avoid LOOKing at the streetside

cheers

From the aviation industry comes Rejex. Most of the group of Cadillac Allante owners whom I share a forum with use it and swear by it.

I apply Rejex to my Allante each and every spring after I clay the finish. I have no desire to wax and I have an excellent finish that repels most of the day to day grime and bugs with ease.

It's a very easy wipe on wipe off finish.

Never waxed.

Hi, five and a half years old and never waxed; Still looking good. Your mileage may vary. Parked outside, eight and a half miles from the Pacific Ocean, towed through all of the western states, in all kinds of weather. Was also covered in ashes from California fires.

If you're really going for the show shine clay is the way. It takes off all the environmental crap that washing alone will not remove.

Once the paint is clean, clean, clean it can be protected in any fashion you choose but I Rejex annually and have no issues with my ride shining.
