Super Shine Metal Polish
I said earlier that I would report back on how the SS testing went.
The Metal Gloss will bring out the lustre on the aluminum as advertised, however, it will not remove much oxidation or water spotting. I applied it with both a cloth and with the Cyclo Polisher. I used it as directed with the Metal Gloss and Metal Sealer in a 50/50 mix. I was hoping for a miracle. Just wipe it on and the water spots and oxidation disappear. Nope. The only way is the hard way. Nuvite and elbow grease.
The polish has no grit as the Nuvite does.
I polished my Excella last winter and as I mentioned before I live near the ocean. The finish had oxidized and because I didn't use a sealer beyond Nuvite "S" I got water spotting.
This time I am using Nuvite "C" as a compound and got a cheap right-angle polisher with which to compound. After compounding, I use the Cyclo polisher with Nuvite "C" and then Nuvite "S". I finish off with two coats of Mother's Carnuba Wax. The waxing leaves the finish ever so slightly hazy. I am not pleased with that but if it makes the next polishing easier and keeps the shine longer, I'll be happy.
I did leave one area, that I cleaned with the Nuvite as described above. finished with the Metal Gloss and Sealer mix to see how it holds up to the weather.
Unfortunately, my body has failed me half way through the project and my back went out. Hate it when that happens. So it will be a week or so before I can resume.
Sorry about the Super Shine. I had high hopes since I am by nature, lazy.
