I am looking for factory shine.
I have 34' classic.
I have purchased , from vintage trailers supply, a buffer.
I am skeptical about starting the job but definitely want it look good.
I don't have to have he mirror shine at 175foot.
Are there threads to tell me
How to treat the seals between sheets of Al?
What u should use to strip/ shine? Where can I purchase ?
How long will it take to do 34feet?
Are there online videos of how to?
Thank u

You Americans also have other alternatives.....

1) You can find a polishing person in Canada, drop the AS off and have him polish it for maybe the same price as in the US, or less, but the current exchange rate would save you 35%.

2) Mexico. Take a trip to Mexico and they'll get a whole crew on it, finish it in a week for 40% of what it would cost you in the US. The amount in the US would easily pay for a three week vacation and cover your polishing.

I'm eventually taking my Argosy to Belize, God willing; where I will cross the border with it in shabby shape on the exterior, pay lower import taxes, then get a garage in Belize to paint it.

Cheers
Sidekick Tony

PS I was quoted $3,500.00 plus taxes to have my 310 polished here in South Western Ontario.

I have a fantastic idea!

Go buy the polisher, the materials, find yourself a shady spot, and get to work!
You want affordable? Do it yourself!!!!!!!!!

I'm willing to bet most folks, after an entire work day polishing, looking as if you stepped out of a coal mine, only to realize you probably only made it a few feet..... You'll pay whatever to get out done or you'll just sell the camper.

I've been in the collision and restoration industry for thirty years and I just LOVE when people think I should be able to fix something "easy" or "affordable" according to their opinions and standards.

Guy ask me one time if I'd fix a rather nasty dent on his door and jamb for $100.
I told him I'd pay HIM $100 to fix it but Noooooo, he said he couldn't do that. So I asked why the hell would I???

Any intelligent human would know the best and only way to save money is to get the tools, get the knowledge, and just do it yourself. Or pay for it what ever the price may be.
