Let the polishing begin

Getting mentally & physically geared up to start polishing my 65 overlander! I forgot how fun it is to start a never before polished AS. I always dreaded the annual re polish of my 63 GT, but now I wish I still had that to look forward to!(now I have 7 more feet !)

I also wanted to post pics of my marathon rehab this summer to make the overlander usable towards the end of summer. Had to remove entire bath to replace rear floor, all new pex, h/w heater, a/c, new black tank ( that was an unpleasant surprise , since it had been removed by p.o., but what's another $500!!) new axles are sooner than later.

Inside work looks good! And I know you'll enjoy the work on the outside! I spent many hours last winter polishing mine, and I'm planning to start again soon so that I can take it closer to a 10 mirror finish.

I'm thinking of buying one of the 5 gallon bucket-style pad cleaners. Wonder of you've ever used one or how you clean your wool pads (assuming that's what you use).

Have fun!

I use wool pads( about 10 of them& wash them in my garage sink. After they are rinsed clean put them on the buffer to spin the water out& let dry. The pad cleaner looks a little gadgety to me, but I have never used one!
