gray/foggy/cloudy appearance - need help

I am about 4 weekends in to polishing my 69 Overlander. I have removed the clear coat. It's been very hot in Alabama and I fear that when polishing it initially, it may have become so hot from polishing at too high speed and ambient temperature that the polish may have combined with the aluminum and created these cloudy spots that I have had no luck removing after multiple passes with Nuvite C.

Initially, I used 3M Rubbing Compound 06085 with a wool pad on a DeWalt, which is what I believe created the cloudiness. This is definitely not dark residue from polish not being removed.

I am now using the Nuvite C product, and blue foam pad, which is AWESOME and isn't clouding at all.

If possible, can anyone send advice with what I can do to remove the cloudy polishing job that I initially performed?
