Getting Blue line decals off side of Excella
I was wondering what the best way to get the blue line decals down the side of the trailer off? I just bought a 31' Excella 1983 and want it to have a cleaner look. Also, I tood the excella logo's off, but what should I fill the rivit holes with?
Thanks,
Ben

I have found that most "sticky stuff" can be removed with either GM's adhesive remover, Kleen Strip's Aircraft Remover or Permatex Gasket Remover.

No idea on the decal - others will chime in there. On the rivet holes - just get some OLYMPIC rivets (they will be the closest match to you OEM rivets on the trailer now) and pop them into the holes. Nobody will be the wiser and they will look factory after you finish them of with some light grinding and sanding. Lots of sources for them and advice here on how to finish them - use the search button above and you will get some ideas.
Good Luck, Mike

Though I have a 2004, I asked the factory specifically what I should use and the response I got was to use mineral spirits. I did and it took the gunk right off. Of course, I took all the stickers and pinstripes off first and only had to remove the residual glue. I then washed off the areas where I did the work. Looked great.
Whatever you do, and whatever you use, do NOT get it on or near rubber, caulked areas, plastics, etc....in most cases, the same stuff that works so well getting the gunk off, can also remove and/or damage these other ancillary materials.

Mineral Spirits may work for new-ish stickers...try it first. The stuff I recommended earlier is for the caked on, baked on, 10 year old stickers & residue. And Eric's right, protect (or remove) anything plastic before using the tuff-stuff - especially Aircraft Stripper, it will melt plastic.

Ok, I have my gallon of Kleen Adhesive Remover and I'm going to try it tomorrow. Thanks to all for your advice.
