First timer cleaning 1997 Airstream

Bought our 1997 34 ft Airstream a month ago. Learning all the ends and outs. Plan to just wash and wax. Has a clear coat with typical peeling on top edge. I have no plan to polish or remove clearcoat just wash and wax. Any suggestions on type to use? Also, should I give any special consideration to the peeled off clearcoat areas?
One more thing the aluminum rims any preference on cleaning product?

I have been using "Griot's" products on our new to us last year '97. I put the sealant on about a year ago, and it is time to do it again. Our trailer had been sitting outside in PA for about three years when we picked it up, so there was a lot of grim to work through on the initial cleaning.

I have been using Griot's products on our cars for many years and have been very happy. Whatever you end up deciding to use, do not use dish type soap on the trailer. It is far to harsh, instead use an automotive type soap.

Thanks. Where can I get this? I could not find it in a couple of local stores. Did you use a buffer or hand?
