It snowed Thursday & Friday...the wet sloppy stuff! Here's Friday morning...

but it warmed up to mid-sixties by Saturday afternoon. Sunday was beautiful all day...almost 70. Still a bit of cloud cover which was perfect for polishing...

We are hoping to be 100% by July...if not sooner. All three passes with the various Nuvite grades, compounding & cycloing

BTW, when we were out camping this weekend with the trailer, two different folks asked if our trailer was new. Makes ya feel real good
Makes all the hard work worth it huh?! Atta boy!

Extremely Nice~

Shari~
Fantastic looking job~!
The guys should be very proud of the way they approached the job and, the end results~
Tis question begs to be asked..
What, if anything, have you folks decided to use for protection on the finis? (To retard the process of oxidation.)
Again, very very nice~
Btw, those hands could've been kept a little cleaner..lol
I always wore latex gloves but, the biggest problem I had while compounding was "trying to keep it off my face and arms".
ciao

We figure a "once over" with Nuvite "S" will be adequate in our dry climate. Nuvite "S" has a wax component in it that will hellp.

BTW, we didn't notice any oxidation over the six months since we've "packed it up" for the winter and we haven't even used the "S" yet. One of the advantages of a dry (low humidity) climate

Before but no after?

Why doesn't someone ask Shari why there are no 'after' shots posted?

Back in MS checking on the A/S what a surprise it looks as good as when I finished polishing. No water spots so the Turtle Wax worked. I had some time so I tried a new wax I picked up at camping world and it made the shine haze over so I went back to the Turtle Wax and gave it a fresh coat of wax. Not sure if it was necessary but trying to avoided the water spots. I still plan on going over the whole trailer one more time with the SS. We are spending this and next month on the road in the RV ( SOB). So far have visited OK, AR ,TN, MS heading for east TN, AL, SC, GA, FL, LA and back to OK mid June.
Vern how are you coming on the manual ???

Does anyone have the link to the instructions someone posted for using the SS with the harbor freight polisher???

Also, I just started stripping the clearcoat and the Back to Nature worked great on my 78.

Thanks,

Craig

update

Here are a few pictures showing the power of Turtle Wax.

First picture is right after stripping and waxing Sept 2003.
Second is a year later (did some touch up wax in June 2004) pic taken Oct 2004.
Third is orignal (never rewaxed) after polishing and waxing Sept 2003.

garry,
Nice work~!!
It's simply amazing what you've done..
I must admit that, my job at "Airstream of New Hampshire" is taking a lot of my time and energy..
The manual may have to wait a bit...
