favorite wax
I am trying to find a very good wax for an 08' model A/S? I met someone who used an airplane cleaner or wax but I can't remember the name. Any suggestions for something good? Thank you. Lisa

Thats like asking,
Are you Republican or Democrat ? and why ?
I grab anything with carnuba, or something on clearance.
Don't think they make a bad wax these days.
Anything is going to help.
I liked 'Kit' can't find it today.

I use Dri Wash 'n Guard, and have for 25 years. I have several antique cars, and have always used it on them. It is not a wax, but makes the surface super slick.

I've posted this before, but I did a little test when I got my '06 CCD in Dec, '06. I did half of the trailer with Walbernize and the other with a high uality polymer sealant.
After 6 months of outdoor exposure, the polymer side was noticeably brighter and beaded water much better than the Wally side. Just my experience, but I use that same polymer sealant on every vehicle I have twice a year and am very satisfied with it's application and removal ease and the end results!

OK!
Actually, the Rejex is a fine product but it does hae some very specific conditions that must be met before and after use, like no application in the sun or warm surfaces and it can't get wet for 12 hours while curing. I still use this on my windshields to keep them easier to clean from bug splatter.
I use a lot of products from Griot's Garage.............. Car Care, Detail Supplies, Garage Organization, Car Accessories - Griot's Garage 800-345-5789 and have found that their 'Paint Sealant' product is easy to apply/remove, durable and produces a nice gloss finish. I also clean the surfaces wih their 'Paint Cleaning Clay' before any polishing or sealing operations.

Lew brought up a very good point, claying the surface removes all the tiny dirt particles, it's like compounding without the grit.
Spray it on, take a clay bar it's like putty, and rub it over, doing about 3' x 3' at a time then wax.
It's used on high end cars all the time, makes a big difference.
