Cotton polishing pad and clay bars
I have a Dewalt polisher and it did a great job with the wool pads and Nuvite polishing compound. My question is how do you attach the cotton polishing wheels? I have not seen any with a attachment to screw on my Dewalt polisher. I have used clay bars before with a regular drill and smaller pads that have attachments that the drill can clamp on to.

When most folks get to the "fine" polishing part they tend to use a Cyclo polisher. . There are a several vendors that sell cotton pads (sweatshirt material) that can be clamped around the heads and then used for polishing.

How about a home-made adaptor? grab a 5/8-11 threaded rod coupler, a couple of washers and a 5/8-11 bolt. Tractor supply had the coupler when I did mine.

Try Jestco Products Buffing Supply (Powered by CubeCart)
Review Dr. Airstream's polishing video on youtube if you haven't already.
I get better results with this technique than the wool pads at slower speeds.

Caswell sells bars as well got my cotton wheels and clay bars there as well. Just check grit vs color I think they use different colors for some of their bars.

If you don't have one for the wheels, a wheel rake is a must for cleaning build up on the edges. Or something to do its job.

I was watching some videos and I think I can make my own wheel rake. I have the wood and nails. I will order the bars today. I will get a red rouge and white rouge. 1 lbs each.
