Clear coat stripping and awning

I'm planning to strip the clear coat from my 1995 Excella and have a question. Do I have to remove the main awing and the ones over the windows before I start. I've purchased the PPG Aerospace PR-5044 Peroxide-Activated Stripper
from vintage trailer. Suppose to be the replacement product for the Removall 220 but don't know if it will damage the rolled up awnings.

Your best bet would be to remove/seal up anything that is made of plastic that you can. I hadn't imagined that citrus-strip (environmentally and personnel friendly) would disolve/damage the lenses on my clearnace lights, but it sure did.

good luck!
