citrus based paint remover -anyone use it ?

Hi,....

Any one use the citrus based paint remover that you can get at Home Depot etc
Does it remove the clear coat ?
one coat or 2 ?

The airctaft stripper works but is pretty nasty to work with.....

CitriStrip

The citrus-based stripper is fairly strong but it doesn't even put a dent in the factory Zolotone. Never tried it on clearcoat. Worked quite well on the four different layers and colors of house paint a PO or POs put on the original Honduran Mahogany though. Takes off skin too, if unattended.

clearcoat

Yep, it works..look at it in action . Photos under towner7's name for results.

Same rules apply here for usuage: Wear protective clothing, eye protection, etc.

I used several coats in areas that were tough. Generally, one coat was enough to remove the clearcoat. Very messy~!!
I wiped mine down with wet rags when it was ready. Keep a large bucket of water handy~! You might be able to just 'hose' it off but, I felt like this would create a bigger mess. Your call on that.
Tried "aircraft stripper" as well, bottom line: it works better for those really tough spots.
No matter what you use, it's alot of work. But, it's the most important step in the process of polishing your A/S.
