Check this out:

It was built in an old aircraft plant in Poland. Plenty of HP and torque to pull an AS, but short wheelbase and no bolt on hitches are available.

I'd hate to be behind him on a sunny day.

Or to be south bound on the Pacific Coast Highway and meet him on one of the sharp curves...can you say "Blinded by the light"?

Look at the underside of the hood, holding the scoop on.

Ahh, I see those few under the hood now. The file is alot bigger if saved and opened in Photoshop, more details show up. To get the racing stripes it looks like they brushed the aluminum! Very nice. Must have used the English Wheel or hand hammered all of the panels... amazing.

I think that they started with an aluminum Shelby Cobra. Much simpler, all you need is a huge pile of dollars.

See THE OFFICIAL CARROLL SHELBY WEBSITE. Note: "The 427 or CSX4000 version was aluminum bodied and finished with the same Shelby Anniversary Blue, however, a polished aluminum finish was available as an upcharge option."

Nothing about any old Polish factories, though.

Did anyone notice the very nice '57 Ford retractable hardtop just above it in the photo. Looks like it was a nice get together.

It even has Carroll's signature on the passenger side dash. Wonder if its an actual signature?

It is Carroll's signature and he charges for it and the proceeds go to his foundation. There are two sources for the "replica" Cobras; one is in Poland and the other is in South Africa. Both are manufactured under license from Shelby. This was at the Gateway Canyons resort in Gateway CO. The car museum is outstanding. The whole resort/museum is owned by John Hendricks, the founder of the Discovery Channel dynasty. Here's a picture of my "early" Cobra.
