BrightWork Polish. Pretty pleased

Ok, so this was my first time polishing anything. And I decided to try on our project 68 Ambassador and I am pleased at the end results. Sure it could look better but then again I’m pretty tough on myself. I’m not totally finished with the build as I still have to paint some exterior trim and things here and there. I first chose to use the Jestco polishing kit and then realized I was probably applying too much pressure and “burned” some of the aluminum. Luckily it’s hard to see but it’s noticeable to me. And lucky that is was the street side of the Airstream. So I chose to try something else and something with less variables. Therefore choosing BrightWork Polish. It was very easy and it turned out great! Hope this helps others as these forums have helped me out TONS!!

We bought the Ambassador in May but did not work on it until about the second week of June. Basically 6, sometimes 7, days a week. The last 2 weeks we were getting our 72 Sovereign ready for a showing and it ended up selling. So now all hands on deck again to finish up the final touches of this Ambassador.

And for the Cadillac and plane pic, yea I enjoyed taking those. They are a neighbors who allowed me to borrow them. The Caddy is a 78 and the plane is a 1940s. I’m hoping to do some drone footage of me towing the Airstream with the Caddy soon.

What a great job! My next job is to polish my girl, and I'm always looking for hints on this. I really enjoy seeing picures of others AS's and finishes, thanks for including those.

On the areas of the trailer you"burned" with jestco, lightly sand with 1200, up to 2000 grit, then hit it again. It will go away.
