Tried a new cleaner and it works well............
I just got done with a detailed exterior cleaning and Walbernize. This year, the black streaks and the green algae forest that grows in the seam between the beltline and the body seemed particularly bad.
I saw
Thetford Premium Multi Purpose Stain Remover at the Camping World checkout and decided to try a bottle. It said "New" and "Oxygenated Technology". How could I resist?
It is hydrogen peroxide based - I guess like OxyClean.
I started on the roof - supposed to be white but mostly mottled black especially around the tank vents. I sprayed some on, ran the cleaning mop lightly over it and rinsed. The roof (white painted aluminum) came clean with no scrubbing. It also foamed the black gunk out of rough surfaces of the caulking with a little brushing.
I sprayed it in the lower beltline seam which always seems to be full of green algae. It foamed and frothed like mad. A light scrub with an old toothbrush had the factory seam sealer looking like new. Worked well on all the horizontal seams on the windows and emblems where it soaked in and foamed them clean. It also brightened up the flat, brushed-aluminum trim that is riveted around the window frames.
I was in the plumbing dept at Lowes and saw something very similar for less money
Peroxy-Kling Multi Surface Cleaner. It is a few bucks cheaper, a little thicker, and works just as well.
