About to Walbernize for the 1st time this weekend
I am planning to apply Walbernize to our AS for the first time since our purchase a few months ago. Any words of wisdom, warnings, or suggestions before I start? Should I presume it is just like applying wax to my car? I don't want to do something stupid on my first application. Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

You shouldn't have any problems. Walbenizer is much easier to use that carnuba wax. It wipes off very easily.
Remember what Miyagi (Karate Kid) said "Wax on, right hand. Wax off, left hand. Wax on, wax off. Breathe in through nose, out the mouth. Wax on, wax off. Don't forget to breathe, very important."

I thought Walbernizer was meant for the older plasticoat Airstreams and had no advantage on the newer models with an automotive clearcoat? Wouldn't it be better to use a premium automotive wax?

There is a Walbernize for new Airstreams and one for older models. I use Walbernize on the end caps and a premium automotive sealer/wax on the "shinier" panels. Just me though.

Definitely don't Walbernize the segment protectors because they'll look terrible! You have to use stainless steel cleaner on them.

Scott, I really like the Glare product. It still beads up after a year. I apply annually, but you could maybe get away with a year and a half or two (at least up here in the northland, SO Cal probably yearly.)
Find it here: http://www.autopolish.net/

Thanks for the lead on the Glare product. We live by the coast, so when the fog come in, so does the salt... I figure we will need to do something to protect the finish 3-4 times a year. The PO was on a similar schedule and still had some corrosion problems on the grab rail next to the door. Hearing that Walbernize is easy on and easy off sounds good to me, but I want to make sure we protect our investment. Again, thanks for the tips.

The Glare product is very easy on and off. I have NO connection to them, I'm just happy with it and it does contain a UV inhibitor

Applied Walbanize for the first time today
I applied Walbanize for the first time today. It was a time consuming, but simple job.
A couple of questions though...
How much Walbanize should it take to do a 25' Airstream? I used about half of the bottle.
Is Walbanize for clear coats normally thin and runny? I thought it would be a thicker material.
I ordered the bottle from Amazon and the bottle was not packaged well and about 25% of the bottle was lost. They gave me full credit for the order, so no issue with Amazon, I am wondering if that contributed to the consistency of the material though.

Nope. It's pretty watery and a little goes a long way. I can do my 31' with about 2/3rds of a bottle.

It's pretty thin. Thin enough to use in a spray bottle, which is recommended. Previously I used a Mequiars Glaze product that was thicker and I applied with microfiber. The Walbernizer I sprayed, then wiped off. Used maybe a quarter bottle on a 23 foot. If you truly used 1/2 bottle after the 1/4 lost in shipment, you probably used a little too much.

Whoops! I think you got that backward. The older models had a clear coat and the newer model have the Alcoa plastic coat.
