95 Airstream Excella 26' can it be polished

Good morning I am looking seriously at buying a 1995 26' Excella 1000 Airstream. The exterior glaze is peeling off and it looks like it will come off fairly easy and a lot of is all ready off. My question is can this model be polished, a gentleman in another forum suggested I go to this room to see what the experts say. He's thinking it's an alloyed type that won't polish, if so what's my alternative. And I am in Albuquerque New Mexico, there's an Airstream Dealership here in town but they aren't exactly the friendliest people to talk with so I'd rather take my chances in this forum. Thanks in advance.....Wally

Yes, you can polish that aluminum, to a mirror shine.

When you do, you do create the need to wash and polish, very often.
