A good choice for touch up paint is the Ivory Gloss from Krylon. I repainted my water heater door and it looks good..
Welcome to the FORUMS.

Welcome from another Austinite

Hi Big Mike,

Welcome to the Forums from a fellow Austinite. I don't know much about Argosys, but this is the right place to find out everything you'd ever want to know about your trailer.

Congratulations on the new expense... err... hobby.

congrats on your new baby! Most of them are painted a kind of cream color. I too used Krylon Ivory to touch up ours, it looks pretty good if you don't look too close! First thing you'll want to do is give it a good scrubbing, it's amazing how the paint actually looks under the dirt! We have put rockguards on her and painted the end cap since this picture was taken so she looks much better now.

Paint

We have a 1975 22' Argosy. The closest we got to the original color is used by Chrysler on the PT Cruiser. I think it's called Vanilla Cream. Any auto paint distributor can sell you this.

Good luck!

I have the 78, 24ft Argosy and have used the Krylon Ivory Gloss for all my touch-up. Also repained the large mid stripe ( don't know if you have one) with a copper matallic we had mixed to match the original. Let's see some pictures of your new "prize". Here are pictures of the copper stripe and the rear end cap that's been painted with the Krylon Ivory Gloss. It's lasted about 3 years through some pretty rough weather.
