64 Caravel

I am about to undertake the task of polishing my 64 Caravel after 10 years of ownership. The reason for the delay? Well it has a few little dents that I keep looking at. One is where the previous owner came into a parking site at night and failed to see some overhanging branches. The result was a very slight crease on the right dome. I used some glue-on dent pullers and managed to remove shock effect. The second is when the suicide door flew open at 55 MPH and slammed the side. It happened again before I realized the previous owner cracked the door frame and the door would not close securely. I have fixed the door and again used glue-on dent pullers to some what restore the dents. The creases remain. I have just accepted the fact that it is the history of my Caravel.

Now for the questions: I plan on two more 5 day trips before October. Should I compound with F7 the whole Caravel, stopping where I finished before the next outing and continue when I return. OR: Start at the back compound F7, cyclo S small panels at a time?

We just started polishing our "78" Ambassador. We tried F7 and G6 without much success. We then tried Nuvite C and it immediately took off the oxidation and brought it up to a shine. Normal progress would be to cyclo with S. It will be some time until we can get back on her with the S. Yes we have some dings and creases too...just beauty marks! And then seem to be accentuated after being polished. Whatever way you plan to polish, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the results. Good luck!
