1976 27' Overlander. During shell off resto, found lots:
  1. Tons of small leaks in the rivets along the ribs over the top of the coach, and down to the curve. Not many rivets leaked on the vertical sides.
  2. Vertical seams where the endcaps attached to the fuselage, and the vertical seams on the encaps- 1st 18" or so from the windows on the center panels- front & rear.
  3. Vista Views- the notorious leak between the glass and the gasket.
  4. Water fill. Cracked plastic causes dripping inside.
  5. Misc pop rivet here and there holding on a molding etc.
  6. I had very few leaks around window frames- mostly easy fix of cleaning and applying vulkem.
  7. No leaks from gaskets- even though all mine are junk.... they just have not generated any leaks inside.
  8. No leaks from horizontal seams.

In general, every place that a sheet of aluminum is pierced (ie. rivet holes and seams), you have the potential for a leak. More specifically, door, window, and hatch seals will eventually leak and result in rot in those areas. The gasket/drip pan under your AC will as well. In a 70's era (and newer) trailer, the plumbing vent stacks rely on a rubber gasket that has a life of around five years. Also in those trailers, the geometry of the rear end steers water right into the subfloor I'm the rear.

Perhaps less common, but still leaky, are the roof vents, the roof mounted TV antenna, the refrigerator chimney, and the stove vent.
