What is this thing?

Cannot figure for the life of me what this peice (gray plastic with small hose) would have been used for. Its killing me not knowing. There was screen that covered the exterior of this hole. Plumbing, vent?

Seeing a red wire joined into a green wire is killing me...

Perhaps A/C condensate line? You might want to tell people "where" this is, unless someone else recognizes it right off.

My apologies. Centrally located on the rear exterior wall, directly below the license plate light and above the trunk hatch. Trailer is a 1970 safari.

AC condensate line runs down the side drops out behind the curbside wheel.

Looks like it is the hose from the battery box to exhaust gas build up to the outside. We have the same set up in our 66 Safari. That's my guess. Bubba

Not a guess, that's what it is for.

Batteries must be vented to the outside. My trailer has a small plate with an angled top to prevent water getting in. A hole in it vents the battery area.
The off gassing can be dangerous.
