What is this? Sani-flush system?

Went to use the sanitary flush line on my new trailer for the first time and heard the sound of water inside! Quickly stopped before too much damage but did make a small flood.

Trying to investigate the cause and noticed this clear plastic piece? What is it? I believe it's on the flush line. It's open with no top. I suppose it should be covered???

Where are you seeing this? Step back a bit and send another picture so we can get a better idea of what it is.

I am really interested in what the electrical valve is.

The valve on the right seems to be part of the fresh water system. On the left seems to be the sanitary flush? These are the inside of the trailer where the fresh and waste wash inlets are.

This is a 30' bunk. The electric valve could be part of the toilet vacuum system?

Boy you have gone completely beyond me on this one. I can't imagine vacuum, what is the source of the vacuum, being involved with an RV toilet system or an open vent to the black waste system anywhere inside the trailer.

Do you have a manual?

The toilet itself is vacuum flush. I don't think that's the issue here.

I think that clear plastic piece is from the tank flush line. But it is completely open?!? I imagine it should have a top. Really no matter what water line it's on unless it is a vent of sorts.

Looks a bit like a shower back flow preventer/vacuum break....but it should have a cover on it
I saw something like this on an SOB 5th wheel tucked behind the Mirror glued to a wall

I will try to get more pics up but this is behind drawers about 3' above the floor. Maybe 8' from the shower.

It is the backflow preventer with the cap and valve completely blown off. The valve is RVIA code (I assume). The cure is to remove and replace with pex line. Very common failure and will happen again sooner or later.

Thanks. Backflow preventor from what line? I suspect it is from my black tank flush line? Is that why I got all the water spray inside? Maybe there was too much pressure?

Yes from your black tank flusher.

It makes sense that there is a backflow preventer between the tank flusher a water supply. I would assume the missing part is somewhere in the cabinetry near by?

Anyway, I have the same trailer. I use the tank rinser by closing the blank tank knife valve, turning on the water to the tank rinser and filling the tank to 75-80%, then opening the knife valve and dumping the tank. Then repeat.

I have never had an issue, so that should confirm somthing is amiss on your trailer. Did you buy from Colonial? They should be able to help out.
