Thanks Uwe.

I can't imagine doing what you have done. It's been great watching your progress. Your going to have *your* perfect trailer when its done.

I have still been having to make comprimses since I did not do a total gut out.

But your going to have it just the way you want from the frame up!

Yes, indeed! I can't wait to take it out on it's maiden voyage. Maybe in time for the Rocky Mountain Vintage Rally this summer.

Nice job on the flooring. I like how you trimmed it out! I just finished installing the same in my Trade Wind. Working on doing the trim now.

Thanks. I did it all with a hand saw and miter box. Yikes!

Washed the walls inside

I washed the interior walls on my Caravel. It took three passes to get all the cig smoke and grease off the Zolatone. I only got the front half done. What a job. finished my wiring on the new converter, as well.

Unhappy I'm jealous Tim...

It snowed today, so I cleaned the basement...well at least started on it! Separating out all the stuff in piles for ebay, yard sale & the next vintage swap meet.

Hope to have a sunny weekend soon so we can touch up our polish job before hitting the road ~

Shari

I have a week off and it is completely devoted to that Airstream. Between health and financial things got delayed over a year. The camper has taken over the house and its time it goes back together.

The goal for the week is to finish striping off the baby blue house paint (puke!) get the wiring done and the lower panels installed. If I'm lucky maybe some new paint.

The stripping of 2-3 coats of pain and the Zolotone is painfully slow. I have been working on it in my spare time and finally have the center panel and curbside uppers stripped. Working on the the rear cap.

About to leave for a dental check up and then another day of scraping paint.

Try Purple Power automotive degreaser, in a spray bottle. Test it first on the Zolatone to make sure it doesn't wreck it. On the vinyl walls and laminated cabinetry of Vintage Thunder we found that it was the best by far on cigarette stains and grease. But wear gloves and bring a LOT of paper towels!
