If Henry Ford asked people what they wanted, they would have said a faster horse.
It's fine for Airstream to get customer feedback but I would rather they get better engineers, designers and quality experts to start coming out with trailer that is built with the knowledge that has been gained in the past 70 years. Maintain having large windows, workable floorplans for both camping and traveling, clean designs, and the lower profile aerodynamic shape for ease of towing. Rethink the rest.

Round off the dinette table edges. They are sharp and uncomfortable.
Make more current features options. For example, why is a roll out pantry not available on. 28rqueen when it is available on most other sizes?

As far as winterizing goes. Arrange the plumbing so all water lines drain down to two central points. One for hot and one for cold. Open drains open all faucets and presto its winterized.

Really all is needed is for Airstream to add at the factory the $30 winterizing kit when it is easy to get inside the cabinets to do so. Even with a central drain out,you still need to winterize the pump and adding the kit ( that was on my 1997 Bigfoot 17) would be a no brainer😯

Better workmanship, Sirius radio ready, better TV antenna, built in WiFi antenna and booster, built-in generator bay like the motorhomes, alarm security system, back up camera, 100% battery shutoff, stainless doors standard on external covers such as water heater cover..etc., remotes that don't operate both tv's at once, DVD player located in the bedroom, more satellite tv ready, better water filter options, more bedding options for single beds with curved mattresses, auto leveling system for leveling at campsite (airbag suspension?), windows that don't stick closed, hitch camera. Please!

More training for Airstream techs at dealerships. I've had a #6 fuse blow every time and it seems like they can't find the short for two months now. Each time we take it out, the fuse blows and we are out a furnace, refrigerator, and two 12v phone plugs. Us southerners like warmth, food, and tech gadgets.

Terrific wishlists here! We can dream that someone at Airstream cares about our recommendations 🤔.
I suppose as long as we will pay the big bucks for our Airstreams they will conti us offering some "junk" and we will make modifications as we see fit. Such a shame, isn't it? On occasion I wish we'd kept either of our older Airstreams. Sure seems they were much better built sans all the new technologies. Oh well, live & learn.

Airstream must not have enough competition to be able to rest on its laurels. Oddly, you could say that about the whole rv industry. With a few exceptions, most of what's out there is junk. How can consumers demand more when their options are limited.

One thing in the plus column that keeps me coming back is the "European" styling of most Airstream interiors. Other than perhaps the Winnebago Horizon coach, Airstream is the only American RV to offer clean, smooth interiors with modern styling. The 1970's styling of most of today's RVs is so discouraging.
If only Airstream could match the modern style with modern engineering practices.

Go back to the undercarriage water connection and back to the old style electric cord rollup. Both of these new style connections are less desirable, IMHO.

Airstream improvements
We are on our second Airstream & the same problem exists in both rigs, a 2006 24’ Safari & a 28’ 2017 FC, 12 years apart. The mattress platform doesn’t match the mattress width. We added a platform to our twins to stop the mattress from drooping over the edge by 3+”. This could easily be done at factory & still have access to the storage bins like we still do.

How about thin-wall stainless steel holding tanks with rebuildable stainless steel fittings and valves! Get rid of all that glued plastic junk that is often impossible to repair, maintain, replace, or rebuild.

I’m gonna say no. As the cost of replacing just ONE panel is outrageously expensive, imagine the cost of replacing THAT singular piece!
But it’s entirely possible you know something I don’t know. Tell me why you think it would be better.

Yes! Yes, Yes and Yes to the warmer color LED lights. I loved the warm and homey feel of evenings in our older AS, but the new lights make me feel like I'm in a store and not a home. I know - I can change them out - but I shouldn't have to incur that expense. So we've added some small lamps to give us the softer light we prefer, but they take up table and/or counter space. NOT a major issue, I recognize, but a change that would certainly make me happier.

I’m not sure they care. As far as I can see, they’ve been turning out Airstreams with the same problems for decades.
We have a 1988 Classic Moho. So, are they still making windows that are ridiculously difficult to open?

Just completed an AS comment for upgrade card.
They just sent out comment sheet for improvements to new owners...was pretty detailed with lots of room for comments. Not sure who will read and compile, but first time I have seen this.

Old owners probably have a better handle on what needs improvement than new owners who haven't needed to deal with the bugs (or as Microsoft says, "features" ) in their trailers and develop work-arounds.
Airstream should have sent out questionnaires to all owners that they know of, not just new owners.

When I bought my last trailer, 2017 model, I sent a list of simple improvements that make significant customer impact for very little cost. Most I have already implemented. Some I’ve learned from many here. Others come from my hotel design experience.
