We did it!

We bought our first Airstream tonight. 76 Overlander, Land Yacht. It appears to be all original and in pretty good shape for the age. Plugged it in at the previous owners location and all that worked was the AC. (Very important here in the south.)I got it home, replaced battery with a trolling motor battery I had here and spent a half hour trouble shooting the electrical system and BAM found a slightly corroded fuse on the ground. Every light that has a lamp in it is working. Also appears most all the 12 volt systems are working. The inverter appears to be newer. ( I see blade type fuses on the side of it.) Tomorrow the wife is going to do some cleaning and I guess I'll try to figure out why the running lights don't work when I connect them to the truck. Maybe I'll air up the plumbing system and look for leaks.

Congrats! We're as enthused with ours four years later, so enjoy the learning curve (and, I found my wife was more enthused when I pitched in on all the "heavy" cleaning - it maintained her positive attitude!)
