Very bent stabilizer.

A largish rock decided to tangle with my forward curbside stabilizer. Rock won decisively. If I take AS to a garage and ask them to bend it back, might there be sufficient metal strength to continue to use? Or will metal fatique make it just snap off when straightened? It is bent about 60 degrees sideways.
Thanks.

I’m not qualified to give the advice I’m going to give so take this with a salt lick.

I’d replace it. 60% bent - by the time you get it back to straight, it will be weakened like a magician’s spoon bending trick. Even though they’re only meant to stabilize (and not lift) the trailer, and even though the wheels (esp. if a double or triple axle) will take most of the weight, it’s probably worth replacing with a fresh one.

Not an engineer here - just offering free advice worth everything you paid for it [emoji3]

Good luck!

I would have to agree with Steve. Once the leg has bent it will not hold the same weight. There is also the issue of trying to bend it back into shape. All I can say there is good luck. The leg is thick enough metal that it would take a good size press and a knowledgeable individual to get it straight again.

Steve is right, dang it, not worth fooling with.
It’s $100 for a new one
