Variable speed grinder

I am getting ready to polish, however I cannot find a large VARIABLE SPEED 90 degree grinder. While I was at the Vintage Trailer Academy, the folks, there thought Harbor Supply sold them. No luck only fixed speed and the rpm is too high.

My auto clean/polish supplier has a polisher for painted vehicles, like cars, trucks, etc. I don't know if this will do what is needed for metal polishing, but you can call them & see if they have any feedback. I've been using Griot's products for over 15 years, great stuff: Griot's Garage 6" Random Orbital - Griot's Garage

Harbor Freight has them with variable speed. I bought one when I polished my Trade Wind. Can't tell you the # of hard hours I put on the thing but it still works well.

Ditto here. Mine was variable speed Chicago brand. There's a 'Chicago' in China? It was cheap, less than $20 so I didn't care if it broke....it didn't. I used it mostly to remove deep scratches then I used a Cyclo. All T need now is the Cyclo for upkeep.

Get The Dewalt. Unless you live next door to a Harbor Freight. It will last.
