Tongue jack problem

We have a year old electric jack on our '71 Safari and it has worked great. Now, all of a sudden, it won't work. All fuses are good, including on the Univolt. We also have new batteries. Any ideas what the problem might be?

Did your check of fuses include the in-line fuse between the jack and the battery? It may not be easily visible unless you look under the tongue.

What is the manufacturer of the jack? Did you check if there is power at the jack? Did you check if there are any internal fuses in the jack?

The jack is an Ultra 3002. There is power at the jack 12.56 volts. The fuse in the tounge is not blown.

I am not familiar with the Ultra. I assume you will be calling the manufacturer for troubleshooting. Any trouble shooting info on the Ultra website? Any chance of a bad ground? In the mean time is there a hand crank?

I emailed the manufacturer and expect a reply tomorrow. There is a hand crank and I have been using it. Yuck!

The ground to the jack is through the bolts that attach the jack at the frame. Try loosening then retightening the bolts. Only loosen one bolt at a time.
