After some research on Amazon, and reading customer feedback, the following electric tankless heaters got good reviews for lower use hot water demands (a couple sinks and non marathon length showers) -
- Bosch Electric Tankless Water Heater 12kW $165
- EcoSmart ECO 11 Electric Tankless Water Heater $228
- Marey ECO110 220V $195

These are all small footprint heaters that will fit in the existing hot water heater space... there are larger versions for higher hot water demands and or colder climates.

Still, if anyone has any personal use and feedback, feel free to let me know what you know.

Cheers

Tankless Electric Water Heater Retrofit Recommendation Needed

I used a residential unit on mine. Four years now, no complaints.

Endless showers and LOW gas use. It is the bomb.

I’m assuming the AS stays parked..if so Bosch is a good brand.

We used a PrecisionTemp propane unit, and love it.

My Airstream moves a lot.... the unit only draws just a little inverter power.

Correct, I should have mentioned we "beached" our AS, the few times we'll take it out on the road, we'll manage without hot-water if no electric hookups .
Also, we live in a temperate part of Oregon, so we dont expect to have to many days of freezing weather.
I am noticing that our 30amp breaker might not be enough if we want to use a heater with higher heat output.. so its looking like I'll need to add a new higher amp breaker.
I just noticed that this site list "similar" posts at the bottom!!! Where some good comments and recommendations are listed.
Im sure Ill have more questions once I pull the trigger on whichever heater I end up getting and move to installation.J
Thanks for all the comments everyone!
Cheers!

The 30 amp service will work just fine so long as you use a propane heater.
