Try here: SOFT ALUMINUM DECAL NO STEP from Aircraft Spruce

It's even on aluminum.

Bob, my wife is mostly right when she intervenes so I generally listen if only to keep the peace.

Vaughn, Nice idea. Market it to AS. I recently bought a dremel type tool and there was a sticker on it saying, I kid you not. "This is not to be used as a dental instrument".

My favorite one is a sticker on a rubber mallet that says "Wear Safety Glasses".

I know that all hammers have them, but really, what are you gonna send zinging with a rubber mallet?

Without that warning, the propane cover is fair game. I'm going to go stand on it and when I fall down, I will be suing Airstream, the cover manufacturer, the propane bottle company, the propane supplier, and Dan since he stood on it and enticed me to do the same. First, however, I have to do some dental work with the Dremel; mine didn't have a label, so the earlier models must be for dental work too.

It would be good to minimize sideways thrusting on the top of the bottles, though.
That wouldn't work with mine - the bracket holding the bottles in place is above the bottles, so it'd be in the way. When I remove that bracket, the bottles are only barely staying upright. Standing on them in that state is pretty much guaranteeing a rough ride to the ground, with a possibility of impalement from the threaded rod for the bracket for extra hilarity.

I just turn a trash can upside down, set a milk crate on it, and a 5 gallon plastic bcket on top of the milk crate. I'm only 220 lbs, so everything works just like on I Love Lucy. Sal.

How about a lasso over the A/C and pull yourself up?

I usually miss the "Not a Step" stickers because my foot is covering them.

I am done with the front panel and it looks good. The one problem in the whole waxing process was with the rock guards. I used NU-FINISH which I have used on cars before with good results. The finish on my rock gaurds is more brushed than smooth and I had a hard time polishing them down. Next time I will use Turtle Wax or similiar products on them.
Gene, I have adequate and excellent counsel. Pro Bono of course.

You could always use a Sky Hook.

Is it still borrowing if you keep it? And will he still be your buddy if you don't return the things you borrow?

I read where you've finished the front end.

I had the same predicament two weeks ago when I waxed my trailer for the first time.

I'm stumpy (5-7") and finally came up with a solution to get to the top with my eight foot ladder.

I dropped the hitch as low as it would go. And did the reverse on the back end.

It works, even for short stumpy old pharts like me!

Protagonist, the baker scaffolding has been sitting in his net shed for 20 years. If he even knows it's gone he won't be mad.

Murrey, Good idea

That's not borrowing at all, then; that's rescuing. Good job!

Dan, my experience with the rock guards is to just use stainless steel appliance or grill cleaner (from anywhere like WalMart or Home Depot). Those rock guards (segment protectors) are stainless steel, not aluminum, and wax can look blotchy on them. Some people just use WD40. Russ
