If they read these forums and realize some people, as I have to assume have considered this as a platform to get to that top panel we will soon be seeing "Do not sit or stand on this cover". I at least want an official warning when I'm about to do something stupid

I usually miss the "Not a Step" stickers because my foot is covering them.

I am done with the front panel and it looks good. The one problem in the whole waxing process was with the rock guards. I used NU-FINISH which I have used on cars before with good results. The finish on my rock gaurds is more brushed than smooth and I had a hard time polishing them down. Next time I will use Turtle Wax or similiar products on them.
Gene, I have adequate and excellent counsel. Pro Bono of course.

Is it still borrowing if you keep it? And will he still be your buddy if you don't return the things you borrow?

I read where you've finished the front end.

I had the same predicament two weeks ago when I waxed my trailer for the first time.

I'm stumpy (5-7") and finally came up with a solution to get to the top with my eight foot ladder.

I dropped the hitch as low as it would go. And did the reverse on the back end.

It works, even for short stumpy old pharts like me!

Protagonist, the baker scaffolding has been sitting in his net shed for 20 years. If he even knows it's gone he won't be mad.

Murrey, Good idea

That's not borrowing at all, then; that's rescuing. Good job!

Dan, my experience with the rock guards is to just use stainless steel appliance or grill cleaner (from anywhere like WalMart or Home Depot). Those rock guards (segment protectors) are stainless steel, not aluminum, and wax can look blotchy on them. Some people just use WD40. Russ

Engineering skills

Well, in the future you just need to apply some basic engineering skills and have the balancing capabilities of a Circus High Wire act. You can do anything....

This thread has me in stitches! (not literally: that's a job for standing on a propane cover.) I am going to go see if that dremel tool has a warning label on it before I do the childrens teeth.
