stair and awning questions

Hello all, I am a new airstream owner I purchased a 1994 36 ft excella. It was not well taken care of. After taking it to an rv store and haveing new tires, brakes, new plumbing, and some electrical work done on it I now have it back. I am going to now work out a few problems myself. I cannot get the stairs to come down. I don t know if there is some secret to this or they are just jammed or broken. any suggestions would be great. Also I cannot get the awning to come out either. Don t know if they go bad or there is a trick to this also. thanks for any help.

The steps you have to lift and pull them out > The other thing were it folds up there are 2 little levers lift them up then it will come out . It takes 2 pepole to let the awning out good luck.
