Squeaky Floor

My 2006 classic s/o (Bought new last year...never used..still under warranty) has a minor (but annoying) squeak in the bathroom floor....the dealer said Airstream suggested all AS trailers squeak!!! Gee, I could have bought SOB if I wanted this line...am I being unreasonable wanting the dealer fix this annoyance? What could be the problem and is the repair too extensive?

Well I have a 2007 20' Safari SE/LS and mine squeaks like crazy. Have seen other people on this forum complain about the same thing. Quality Control!

They have wood floors - actually, just a couple pieces of plywood or OSB in some new trailers. Wood floors squeak. Period. That's what they do - especially those that are flexed by rolling down the road...I don't think there is much that can be done. It's not a truss or joist floor like in a stationary home. Just think of it as it way of talking to you.

I have a 2007 25ft FB it talks to me in the middle of the night when I get up to go to the bathroom. I usually laugh and know at least my trailer will always talk to me when all when my wife and dogs are sound asleep.
Enjoy the special things about your Airstream.

I have found it comforting like the purring of my one of sweet kitties. Is that wrong?

Almost always sunny here unless there is a hurricane bearing down on you. And then it's time to hook up the burb and roll. So far I've been very lucky.

Nature of the beast.

Hi, my trailer had one squeak so I had the dealer repair it, and sometimes it squeaks in other places, but not as bad. Anytime you have wood, metal, plastic, and glass put together there is going to be some flexing and noises. And as for the SOB, if it isn't squeaking, something broke.
