Question soft underneath

I just viewed a 22 foot 1959 safari airstream which was in ok condition on the inside, but the underneath felt soft and had some holes. The inside floor appeared to be solid but was covered with carpet.
The man selling did not know much about the trailer. Said he bought it two years ago and never used it. He states when he bought it he was told everything worked. The outside is in need of work. The clear coat is coming off and it needs to be stripped and polished, but no dents. He is not certain if the appliances work and the shower was never used by him. Lets consider the worse case that the underneath needs to be redone and possible wireing??? no appliances???? What would you consider a reasonable price?

Depends on how much money you make a year, and how significant the trailer is to you.
You're likely going to spend over $3000 above the cost of the trailer, to make it the way you dream about. It is very time consuming too. You gotta really want it. I would take whatever he said, with a grain of salt. He really knows nothing about the trailer. If you plan to park the trailer some where and not tow it around, $1000 max If (and it looks like you do) already have a vintage airstream, $500 and walk away. anyone else feel like chiming in?
