So here's my problem

Wrote on here last night about my Dometic 2452 not working on AC. A fine bunch of AS'ers wrote back telling me what to look for. Guess what? I found the problem......... That's the good news. Now for the bad...... it's the darn on/off selector knob. You know "off-gas-ac". Now for the really bad news, Dometic hasn't had any in years. There is no replacement. It is part #2932607043......... Anybody have an extra or know where I can find one? As always, thanking you up front. Oh, I can turn it on using some mini vise grips.

I did search with that part # Australian site says they have it or can get it. Search for yourself.

Hello amazingwoody. Go to a sears hardware or any large hardware store and they will have knobs both a pointer type or round ones. These are secured to the shaft by a set screw. If it's the pointer type just orient it on the shaft in a known position and the others should follow. If it's the round type you will have to put your markings on with a marker of some kind.

Radioshack used to carry a bag of assorted knobs for a few bucks. Also, search for other sources on Google or Yahoo, etc. See sample sources below:
