Thanks for all the commiseration and stories, guys. I'm not sure why they make me feel more cheerful, isn't that funny?

Wish me luck, I've my first appointment for a company I have hopes of working with later this morning.

Good luck and great success, somehow slip in the conversation that you're an AIRSTREAM owner and you'll be a sure thing for the job.

It's actually sales repping for a company that wants to open new markets; the appt is a fact finding appt with a target client to see if the idea will work. It'll involve lots of travel and if it goes well, I plan to set the Bambino up as a sort of traveling showroom. The cool factor could be very helpful.

Not funny, at all.

Shared experiences, good and bad, are part of being human.

Good luck on your interview.

Yeah, virginity is over-rated. Sort of like all the hand-wringing some engage in when considering work on the roof. Be careful, don't dawdle and be done. Use is experience is not-worth-worrying over. We've all had damage. I've banged a few things (hooked/ripped a Class II hitch receiver off a Suburban with the rear bumper on the last Silver Streak cutting into a tight RV park spot [seriously tough bumper, my old man had a guy total his pickup against his SS rear bumper]).

I am sorry for you that it was so recent to the purchase of the rig.

It all comes to "shape" (thoughts & feelings on fate) when six other rigs have trees and/or branches come down on their rigs . . and you clear the leaves from your windshield and get down the road before the wreckers block the park drives.

Skin punctures are a whole other level . . . .

Thank you, my dear! Really, I'm not as upset about it as all that. A bit mystified, yes. My landlady is pretty convinced its vandalism. I don't know, but I'm glad the Bambino is now back in its new place!

Lol - I've sent pictures to The Mothership and I'm waiting to hear from them about locals for getting estimates!
