hi 'sag...
i love it went owners TRY to follow what in the "owners manual"...
it gives us the chance to find out if what they provide us (support documents) really work.
i've referenced this product in past posts here...

but as i recall the spelling was slip
1cone...
or at least that's how i read it, and it looks like NEITHER spelling is in use now.
anyway what IS used NOW at the factory, is a dow product and IS available here in the usa.
i've purchased it at the factory store, not sure if it's listed online at the a/s site.
it does appear to be available on line from vendors, here are 2...

and their prices are inline with buying a can from j/c.
it may be true that lots of sili' products will work fine...
THIS product is "food grade" silicone which means it is safe to use around kitchen stuff...
like fridge gaskets and kitchen windows and kitchen slides and so on...
here are pix of the can IF you wanna read from the label.
at the very least select a product that is safe around rubber and plastics...
some sili' sprays are, and some sili' sprays are NOT...
cheers
