Removed the screws and it turned out that the sliding door was locked when we retightened the screws. The far right screw locked the sliding door in and served to keep it immobile. I unscrewed the screws and the sliding door was freed to move again. Simple solution. I again, am feeling humble.....
Since I have that same year and model, I will park this in the back of my mind for future use.
