Slide out pantry frustration
We have had our 2018 23’ (FB) since last fall. Have just “de-winterized “ and are ready to hit the road. One little problem. The slide out storage beside the sink consists of several long wire baskets that sit on little hooks. I only have to move about 6 feet and the baskets are off their brackets and either wedged up against the frame or have all fallen off.
Last year, I thought it was because there wasn’t enough “stuff “ in them because we only used the trailer a couple of times before it got cold. So far this year I have tried cans, thinking it needed something heavy; Tupperware containers with pasta, thinking it needed something light; and cardboard boxes of Siploc bags, even lighter.
Nothing stays where I put it and the whole thing constantly jams. What do other people use this cupboard for?
Sorry I can’t post pictures but the AS doesn’t live at our house.

This is where our wire shelves attach in the slide out pantry.

Plastic wire ties or even bread bag ties will secure the shelves to the frame ... and are easy to clip or untie if you want to move a shelf.
BTW put any spice bottles inside a zip lock bag. Some, like turmeric, can stain the flooring.

Zip tie the baskets to the hooks. Works great.

Sherrif1, like your solution. Always bugged me that there were several inches of wasted space inside. Assume you had to remove Interior rack to install plywood.
And ... could you hang the awning hook, a ruler, hot dog forks, other skinny stuff on back side of plywood?
Pegboard instead of plywood?
Ooh, brain overheating... bye.
